This area was one of those areas where old tree pots, hosepipes that won't work, a general "throw it up the corner" area & it had to go. So firstlt the rubbish was removed, then Fluffy dug up slabs with a Kango which breaks up concrete. Then the ground was levelled and then he laid out the basic structure. Finally the decking applied. As you can see we have a brass sun plaque on the gate and what you cannot see on the wall to your left is an antique plaque of Dionysus, a brass wall hanging of a peacock (representing the wife of Zeus, Hera) and an antique wall clock. Now we are on the look out for any form of statue that is responds to Ancient Greece & the reason it is Dedicated to Apollo, God of the Sun is because this area is first to be awoken at dawn by the suns rays, the area being a sun trap until mid adfternoon when suddenly it takes on another form: a place of shade where one can reflect upon the infinite, meditate & be at peace. It also makes a supreb dining area! From start to finish it took a maximum of under three days. We hope you like it!
We decided it was time to create an even more spiritual ambience to our garden. We have Roman themes, Egyptain themes & Florentine themes but nothing much in the way of Ancient Greece.
